Dorothy Adams Hitchcock, daughter of the late Ansel and Nora Bell Vaught Adams, was born in Hogue, Kentucky on January 13, 1929 and departed this life on January 7, 2006 at the age of 76 years.
She was a retired seamstress for Palm Beach and a member of Center Post United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Crouthers of Batavia, Ohio and Phyllis Jasper of Science Hill, two sisters, Shirley Lowman and Diana Adams both of Cincinnati, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Alfred Hitchcock, whom she married on September 6, 1947 and who died on October 24, 1968, her parents, a daughter, Pauline Curry, a brother, Everett Adams and two sisters, Sylvia Wilson and Betty Lou Disney.
A funeral service will be at 1 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2006 with Bro. Richard West and Bro. David Boling officiating.
Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation after 6 PM Monday.
