Geneva B. Haynes

Geneva B. (Bryant) Haynes, of N. Hwy 1247, Science Hill; was born on July 30, 1915 in Science Hill, KY and departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Mary Ethel (Aker) Bryant. She retired from the A & P Grocery Store, Somerset, after working for them as Head Cashier and a book keeper for 38 years. She was a member of the Somerset Church of Christ and the Science Hill Garden Club. She is survived by two nieces, Mary Adele &(her husband, John Ray) Jones of Science Hill; Bridgett Lee &(her husband, Jay) Smiley of Arkansas; a nephew, Paul Edward Bryant of Science Hill; a sister-in-law, Mattie Bryant of Science Hill; two great nephews, James Benny &(his wife, Angela) Gibson of Science Hill; Eddie Ray Jones of Somerset, KY; two great - great - nephews, Jimmie Gibson and Nathaniel Roysdon , both of Science Hill; three great-great-nieces, Amanda Gibson of Science Hill; Morgan Bryant of Shopville; Karenssa Roysdon of Indiana; a great-great-great-nephew, Xavier Roysdon of Somerset, KY; a great-great-great-niece, Solmae Roysdon of Indiana; a cousin, Nola Hall of Cincinnati, Ohio; also other numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Tildon "Till" Haynes, who she married on May 20, 1957 and died on Sept. 26, 1971. Also three brothers, Roy, Vernon and Charles Bryant; a sister-in-law, Florieta "Fleet" Bryant; a brother - in - law, Ott Haynes; a niece, Carolyn Gibson and a nephew, Sam Haynes. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Willie Ramsey, officiating. Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
