Iva Wallace West, 81, of Norwood-Mt. Zion Road in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 17, 1927, daughter of the late Delmer and Maggie Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, James & (Dean) Wallace, three daughters, Barbara Blevins, Carolyn & (Eric) Dick and Wanda Wallace & (Scott Irvin), all of Science Hill, one sister, Genevie Hargis of Xenia, OH, six grandchildren, William Howard Blevins, Charles & (Amy) Blevins, Brandon Cook, Tony Ray & (Faye) Whiles, Stacy & (Jennifer) Whiles and Margaret Marie "Crickett" Stien, one great-grandchild, Harley Delynn Whiles and two special brothers-in-law, Jack Wallace and Frank Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles "Bud" Wallace Jr., her second husband, Marion West, two brothers, Gerald Blevins and Herman Blevins, three sisters, Norma Jean Flynn, Noreen Blevins and her twin sister, who died at birth and one son-in-law, William Hughie Blevins.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Strehl officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
