Maynard D. Holtzclaw, 61, of Bethel Ridge Road in Bethel Ridge, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 20, 1947, son of the late Allen and Lema Blevins Hoseclaw. He was a dairy farmer and a member of Bethel Ridge United Methodist Church. He was also a member of New Dawn Quartet. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Brown Holtzclaw, whom he married on December 6, 1967, one son, Allen D. Holtzclaw, one daughter, Pamela Holtzclaw Lewis, all of Bethel Ridge, two brothers, Melvin Hoseclaw of the Mt. Zion Community and Roger Holtzclaw of Eubank, one sister, Mae Hoseclaw Godsey of Eubank, five grandchildren, Angela Randolph, Robert Randolph, Brandi Holtzclaw, Gregory Holtzclaw and Lacy Lewis and three step grandchildren, Robert and Tommy Lewis and Matthew Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marshall Hoseclaw and Marvin Holtzclaw, who was his twin.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Bethel Ridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Gene Sweet and Bro. Doug Stutz officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Ridge Cemetery with military honors by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
