Jimmy Lynn Hamilton

Jimmy Lynn Hamilton, 61, of Cemetery Road in Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on December 28, 1947, son of the late James W. Hamilton and Roberta Jean Castle Hamilton Martin. He was a woodworker and a retired caseworker for the Department of Human Resources. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife, Susie Ann Sims Hamilton of Waynesburg, two sons, James Arnold Hamilton of Lexington, KY and Richard Lee Hamilton of Waynesburg, one granddaughter, Morgan Presley Hamilton of Lexington, KY, brother-in-law, John Kraemer of Cincinnati, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dianne C. Kraemer and his grandparents who raised him, Jim P. and Della Hamilton. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, March 23, 2009 at Pond Baptist Church with Bro. Gordon Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Pond Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
