Joyce Faye Robbins

Joyce Faye Slone Robbins, 76, of Johnson Road in Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on July 29, 1932, daughter of the late James Landsford Slone Sr. and Soonie Mavis McCurry Slone. She was retired from Waynesburg Rest Home as manager. She is survived by two sons, Shannon & (Bonnie) Robbins of Bowling Green, KY and John & (Joann) Robbins of Waynesburg, four brothers, J.L. Slone of Stanford, Shannon Sloan of Albertsville, AL and Lloyd Leo Slone and Doug Slone, both of Waynesburg, two sisters, Melba Cox of Waynesburg and Dixie Smith of Stanford, eight grandchildren, Alisha, Carla, Ashley, Quentin, Tori, Ransome, Nicole and Blake and three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Maddy and Isaiah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ronald Quenton Slone and John Cleo Slone and one sister, Eden Gay Gray. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
