Coyt Goodin

Coyt Goodin, 85, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on December 24, 1923, son of the late George and Ida (Peace) Goodin. He was a retired truck driver from Dixie Ohio Trucking Company and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Goodin, whom he married on January 5, 1989, two sons, Coyt Goodin Jr. and Larry Goodin, two daughters, Donna Goodin and Debbie Merkt, three step-daughters, Joyce Poalello, Helen Buress and Cindy Wood, two brothers, Fessor Goodin and Maleum Goodin, three sisters, Marie Scalf, Audie O'Nan, and Imogene Alsip, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Ronnie Goodin and Mark Goodin, one step-son, Terry Ray Claunch, four brothers, Lonzo Goodin, A.T. Goodin, H.B. Goodin and Amos Goodin and one sister, Mossielee Simmons. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 after 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
