Roger Hines

Roger Hines, 71, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 7, 1944, son of the late Elzie and Berl Adams Hines. He was a glass installer for Sears Glass Company and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam war veteran. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Roy Hines, of Science Hill, two daughters, Tammie & (Bryan) Stringer of Somerset and Pam & (John) Walden of Science Hill, one brother, Tommy Hines of Science Hill, one sister, Connie Bailey of Georgetown, KY, five grandchildren, Blake, Braeden and Bailey Stringer, Isaac and Charlee Walden. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Caleb. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Merrick officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
