Edna Belle Floyd

Edna Belle Floyd, 89, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 18, 1926, daughter of the late James Robert and Laura Belle Greer Floyd. She was a school teacher in Troy, Ohio. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, mission and church work and traveling. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by two nieces, Camille & (Johnny) Partin and Pat McGowan, two great-nieces, Gretta & (Rob) Tarter and Sandra Partin and two great-great-nieces, Rinna Tarter and Genevieve Denis. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Curtis Floyd and Robert Floyd and two sisters, Virdena Floyd and Ardelia Floyd Allen. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Slade Moore officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
