Dorothy Ellen Dalton

Dorothy Ellen Dalton, 94, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at her residence with her children and family by her side. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 28, 1921, daughter and only child of Quincy Bass and Margaret Emily Wesley Haggard. She was employed by Palm Beach Company for 30 years. She was a lifelong farmer and homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Delmer & (Linda) Dalton of Lexington, KY and Gary & (Judy) Dalton of Science Hill, one daughter, Carolyn Sue Snyder & (her special friend, Paul Weddle), five grandchildren, Darin Dalton of Atlanta, GA, Greg & (Cheryl) Dalton of Lexington, Tonya & (Billy) Robertson of Kings Mountain, KY, Brian & (Molly) Dalton of Somerset and Kevin & (Kimberly) Dalton of Somerset, eight great-grandchildren, Josh Jones of Junction City, KY, Kent, Katie and Brody Dalton, all of Somerset, Colton and Mitchell Dalton, both of Lexington and Kameron and Kylie Dalton, both of Somerset. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Everett "Bud" Dalton, whom she married on April 13, 1937, her parents and an infant son, Archy Wilbert Dalton. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 14, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Duane Orange and Bro. Scott Hughes officiating. Burial will be in West Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
