Maxine (Robinson) Evans

Maxine Claratine Robinson Evans, 86, of Somerset, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pioneer, Tennessee on March 19, 1923, daughter of the late Ernie P. and Evelyn Effie Massey Robinson. She was a cook and waitress at Wards Restaurant. She was a member since May 6, 1951 at First Baptist Church of Science Hill for 58 years and attended Quenton Baptist Church for the last several years. She is survived by one son, Paul M. & (Peggy) Evans of Somerset, one daughter, Linda Dean & (Kenneth) Nichols of Bethel Ridge, one sister, Mary Smith of Halbane, IL, seven grandchildren, Frankie Lee & (Janet) Evans, Carmie & (Matt) Clark, Phillip Evans, Brian Evans, Justin & (Shelly) Lewis, Melissa & (Danny) Vanwinkle and Beth Bullock, seven great-grandchildren, one step granddaughter, Desaray Cutter, three step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilmer Evans, her parents, two sons, George Carroll Evans and Rodney Wayne Evans, one daughter, Effie Jane Bullock, two sisters, Lodena New and Georgie Reinmuth and one granddaughter, Illesa Ashton. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, April 10, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dishman officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
