Billy Hayes Carnell

Billy Hayes Carnell, 63, went to heaven on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He was born in Bullitt County, Kentucky on December 28, 1951, son of the late James Odis and Betty King Carnell. He was a member of Hill Grove Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a retired U.S. Civil servant at Ft. Knox, KY. The most important things in life to him were faith, family and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca, of Eubank, one daughter, Rachel & (Mike) McCoy of Meade County, one grandson, Jonathan & (Ashley) McCoy of Campbellsville, one granddaughter, Jessi McCoy, mother-in-law, Ruthell Slack of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Margie & (Henry) Nakamoto and Darleen & (John) Horton and one brother, Mike Carnell. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jimmy, Danny and Ricky Carnell. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite children's charity. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
