Lois Evans Eubank, 76, of Old Floyd Switch Estesburg Road in Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Casey Co., KY on August 14, 1932, daughter of the late Henry Clay and Edna Richardson Evans. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many people.
She was united in marriage to Virgil T. "Thad" Eubank on August 5, 1950. Six children blessed this union, Linda Jones of Eubank, KY, Kathy Eubank of Somerset, KY, Lemont &(Deborah) Eubank of London, KY, Malena Whitaker, Tim Eubank and Michelle Measel, all of Eubank, KY. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by five grandchildren, Stephanie Wesley, Jessica Godbey, Matthew Whitaker, Timothy Lewis and Katie Eubank; one great grandchild, Jamie Marie Wesley; two sisters, Jeanette & (Bob) Taylor and Shirley &(Pat) Gifford, both of Somerset, KY and a host of friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clifford and Carl Evans, one sister, Helen Frey and a very special aunt, Dephia Harrison.
A funeral service will be 1 pm Monday, April 13, 2009 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bros. Arnold Larkin and Jim Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in the Griffin Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 pm Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the funeral home.
