Betty Jane Barnett Inabnitt

Betty Jane Barnett Inabnitt, 75, of Somerset, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2015 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Bald Rock, Kentucky on February 8, 1940, daughter of the late Alex Sanford and Nellie Mae Jones Barnett. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Elmer "Hot Shot" Inabnitt, whom she married on July 13, 1957, four children, Ben & (Teresa) Inabnitt, Brenda & (Joey) Candido, Judy & (David) DeCross and Tim & (Shelly) Inabnitt, all of Somerset, six siblings, Edith Hannah, David Barnett, Lucy & (Lendon) Merrick, Nettie & (Donald) Harper, Thelma & (Wendell) Randall and Denton Barnett, six grandchildren, Tyrel & (Brooke) Inabnitt, Matt DeCross & (special friend, Kaitlin), Zachary DeCross & (fiancé, Morgan Crosslin), Jonathan & (Kristen) Candido, Justin & (Celeste) Candido and Amon & (Shenna) Inabnitt and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Sanford and Nellie Mae Jones Barnett, one son, Jerry Lee Inabnitt and two brothers, Dennis Barnett and Douglas Barnett. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 3, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Tarter and Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Whetstone Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
