Harding Bruce Haught, 94, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky.
He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on June 28, 1921, son of the late Jesse E. and Stella Anderson Haught. He retired from NCR after forty years and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg. He was an all around handyman, with woodworking, boating, carpentry and craft work. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force and a member of the Rotary Club.
He is survived by one son, Michael B. Haught of Somerset, one daughter, Linda D. & (Mike) Light of Dayton, OH, one brother, Grady & (Rissie) Haught of Eubank, one sister, Marjorie Measel of Arizona, three grandchildren, Randy & (Kirsten) Light, Shaun & (Laura) Haught and Ryan & (Jill) Light, four great-grandchildren, Meredith Light, Jackson Light, Henry Light and Mikey Haught and one step great-grandchild, Bailey Dillow.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Strange Haught, whom he married on September 3, 1949 and who died on April 21, 2006, his parents, three brothers, Brice Haught, Jarvis Haught and Carter Haught, five half brothers, Raymond Haught, Roy Haught, Roland Haught, George Haught and Austin Kidd, Jr. and one sister, Margaret Padgett.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at a later date.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg.
