William L. "Bill" Ward, 82, of Eubank, Kentucky, owner of Ward's Restaurant, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016.
He was born in Madison County, Kentucky on June 12, 1933, son of the late Carl and Ethel Walker Ward. He was owner of Ward's Restaurant and a cattle trader. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Bumgardner Ward of Eubank, one daughter, Beverly Ward Pilcher & (Larry) Of Nancy, one brother, Garland Ward of Lexington, KY, three sisters, Eloise Delcampo & (Jesus) of Tracey, CA, Barbara Ann Kauppi & (Michael) and Joetta Buckler & (Harold), both of Lexington, two grandchildren, Nate Pilcher and Nicole Yvonne Roberts & (Chris), one great-grandchild, Isabella Roberts, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Lester Wayne Ward, seven brothers, Cleo Ward, James Ward and Vernon Ward, four who died in infancy, one sister who died in infancy and one great-grandchild, Alexander William Roberts
Burial will be on Tuesday in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
