Rosa Blevins Blumeyer

Rosa Blevins Blumeyer, 88, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on January 27, 1921, daughter of the late Johnothan Shadrach and Lona B. Burton Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of Briary Union Church. She is survived by one son, Kenny & (Sandra) Blevins of Eubank, three step children, one brother, Vernon "Doc" Blevins, two sisters, Ella Hines and Versie Estes, all of Eubank, one grandson, Ken & (Shelia) Blevins of Eubank and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Hannah Blevins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Blumeyer, her parents, two brothers, Milum and Leslie Blevins, three sisters, Beatrice Blevins, Gladys Lingel and Zula Ruckel and one grandson, Douglas Blevins. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Richard West officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
