Gene Dungan, 80, of Eubank, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1935 in Science Hill, KY, son of the late Estill Raymond and Laura White Dungan. He was an avid fox hunter, Man of God, dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served as a deacon and song leader for Pulaski Baptist Church where he had been a member since 1956. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Tackett Dungan; two daughters, Tammy & (Jamie) Board of Stanford, and Lisa & (Mike) Denney of Science Hill; one brother, Paul Dungan of Eubank; five grandchildren, Aaron & (Jenny) Denney, Rachel Denney, Cain Denney, Ryan & (Renee) Lanigan, and Cole Lanigan; and five great-grandchildren, Isaac Denney, Levi Denney, Lucas Powell, Aiden Lanigan, and Asher Lanigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as numerous brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Visitation for Mr. Gene Dungan will be after 10 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016 until time for funeral services. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
