Claud Lee Smith

Claud Lee Smith, 78, of Eubank, Kentucky, went to be with his Savior on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his loving children. He was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on October 1, 1937, son of the late Johnny Green and Bessie Ashley Smith. He was a retired dairy farmer, retired from Oran's Truck Stop and was a life long member of Newell Christian Fellowship. Claud was a loving father and grandfather who loved being outside on his farm and taking care of his family. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by five children, Jerry Smith, Tim & (Dianne) Smith, Doris Smith and Rick Smith, all of Eubank and Misty & (Mike) Wilson of Hebron, KY, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Laverne & (Delmer) Whitter, Marcella & (Doc) Blevins and Gloria Dean & (Billy) Dick, all of Eubank and Mildred Warren of Somerset and one brother, Lloyd Smith of Eubank. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty five years, Nadine Smith, his parents, mother-in-law, Mabel Spears, two sisters, Sue Ann Dick and Grace Trevor and one brother, Darrell Smith. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Cole officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
