Melvin Leon Davis

Melvin Davis, 62, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Lucedale, Mississippi on January 26, 1954, son of the late Johnnie Wilson and Flonnie Hamilton Davis. He was a former employee for Monroe Pallet and a member of Eubank Baptist Church. He is survived by three sisters, Linda & (Larry) Singleton of Science Hill, Dimple Sue & (Ronald) Johnson of Cincinnati, OH and Sandra Davis Ingram of Frankfort, KY, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William Davis and Roxey Wade Davis, Sr. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds and Bro. Terry Holt officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Eubank Cemetery Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
