Dennie Edens

Dennie Edens, 94, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born on May 6, 1921 in Mintonville, KY; son of the late William Luther and Betty Dye Edens. He was a farmer and a member of Ansel Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Eula & (John) Morgan of Vonore, TN; three sons, Charlie & (Shirley) Edens of Somerset, Gerald & (Sharon) Edens of Science Hill, and Boyd & (Elaine) Edens of Somerset; a daughter-in-law, Connie Edens of Somerset; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roxie Jane Edens; one son, Barnell Edens; one daughter, Mildred Cash, one grandson, Dennie Ray Edens; six brothers, four sisters, and one son-in-law, Louie Cash. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Woodcock officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Dennie Edens will be after 6 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
