Takako "Emmy" York

Takako "Emmy" York, 85, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Tokyo, Japan on October 24, 1930, daughter of the late Kenzo and Waki Toi Igarashi. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Harold York, whom she married in November of 1970, one son, Paul & (Abbigail) York, both of Eubank, two step sons, Douglas & (Rhonda) York of Virginia and Denver & (Cindy) York of Florida, two step daughters, Diane York and Vickie York, one brother of Japan, two sisters of Japan, ten grandchildren, Brooklyn, Tristen, Amber, Ashley, Chance, Matthew, Meagan, Jesse, Michael and Katie and one great-grandchild, Roman. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin York officiating. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
