Sarah Jane Hendricks, 81, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on March 25, 1935, daughter of the late Jason and Abby Warren Haste. She was a retired seamstress from Liberty Sports Wear and a member of Bethelridge Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, going to auctions and spending time with her family. She was always giving to everyone, whether she had it or not. Her father was one of the founding fathers of the Happy Travelers. They would sing on WSFC radio every Sunday morning. Sarah sang in the Haste quartet, playing the harmonica and piano.
She is survived by one daughter, Regina Sneed of Eubank, one brother, Harold Haste of Bethelridge, five grandchildren, Chris Sneed, Amy Sneed Lanter, Jessica Bastin, Kristal Hendricks Tillett and Bryan Culp, all of Eubank, seven great-grandchildren, Justin Dick, Jordon Lanter, Conner Lanter, Claire LaBeau, Brittany Tillett, Tyler Tillett and Maliah Culp and one great-great-grandchild, Riley Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover Hendricks, her parents, one son, James Ricky Hendricks, two brothers, Hobert Haste and Virgil Haste and one sister, Mazie Morris.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Caldwell officiating.
Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
