Joe Leeroy "Joe-Joe" Stevens

Joe Leeroy "Joe-Joe" Stevens, 70, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on July 14, 1945, son of the late Arthur Dewey and Lucy Jane Moore Stevens. Joe was a member of Pulaski Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, choir member and usher. For some time he has been happy attending services at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Yosemite. He worked at Barren Pallet Mill for 38 plus years. He enjoyed going to church, fishing, riding bicycles and lawn mowers. He helped coordinate the 4th of July and Christmas parade for Eubank. Joe never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by his family members and friends. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Clara Rozella Relford Stevens of Eubank, two sons, Michael & (Linda) Stevens of Corbin and Brian Stevens of Eubank, four grandchildren, Jacob Stevens, Daniel Stevens, Sabrina Stevens and Lynnsey Stevens, all of Eubank, three sisters, Jewell Maggard of Hazard, KY, Hazel Haste of Lancaster, KY and Delilah Morrison of Campbellsville, KY, three brothers, Leonard Stevens of Eubank, Harlene Stevens of Stanford and Arlis Stevens of New York and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Elmer Stevens,Frank Stevens and Carlos Stevens and two sisters, Iona Sue Stevens and Nancy Jane Stevens. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. William Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
