James Denton Acton

James Denton Acton, 81, of Loganville, Georgia, formerly of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Athens Regional Hospital. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on May 25, 1935, son of the late LJ "Jeff" and Ethel Denney Acton. He owned JD Acton Landscape Company for forty years and was a driver for Atlanta Transit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by one son, James Benjamin & (Tammie) Acton of Bowman, GA, one brother, Lowell Acton of Eubank and one grandson, Russell Acton. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Letcher Napier officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
