Lucien Isaac Blankenship, 93, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation.
He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on July 7, 1915, son of the late Charlie and Martha Frances Denney Blankenship. He was a farmer and school bus driver for the Pulaski County School System. He was a member of Hazeldale Church of Christ.
He is survived by one son, Lowell Kenton Blankenship of Somerset, two daughters, Betty Lou Reynolds of Eubank and Shelby Jean Thompson of Crab Orchard, four grandchildren, Johnny Blankenship, Debra Thompson, Randy Reynolds and Terry Thompson, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clyde Beatrice Brown Blankenship, who died on December 1, 1998, his parents, one son, Frankie Lee Blankenship, four brothers and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
