Wiley B. Faw, Sr., 89 of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Stanford.
He was born on August 30, 1926, son of the late Jacob R. and Chessie Burgess Faw. He was a Southern Baptist Missionary to Nigeria for 32 years and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Willis Faw of Waynesburg, two daughters, Rhonda Faw Cassel & (Steve) of Dayton, OH and Mira Faw Reeves & (Tim) of Waynesburg, daughter-in-law, Vicki Faw Harding & (RJ) of Cannelton, IN, brother-in-law, Dewey Mullins of Berea, KY, seven grandchildren, Wiley B. Faw, III & (Missy), Rebecca Scalf & (Dan), Micah Cassel, Davis Reeves & (Tosha), Katelyn Reeves, Stephanie Cassel and Cameron Reeves, eleven great-grandchildren, Shepherd, September, Jos, Landrie, Kensi, Caleb, Skylar, Vincent, Simone, Chloe and Claire and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Wiley B. "Buddy" Faw, Jr. and Jacob C. Faw, one sister, Ethel Mae Faw Mullins, one brother, Clifford Faw and sister-in-law, Doris Faw.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, August 8, 2016 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Page and Dan Scalf officiating.
Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
