Wilmer "G" Ard

Wilmer "G" Ard, 88, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland. He was born in Naiomi, Kentucky on April 24, 1928, son of the late Worth and Elizabeth Buchanan Ard. He was a dairy farmer and beef cattle farmer. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jean Mills Ard, one brother, Roy & (Mildred) Ard of Middletown, OH, sister-in-law, Sandra White, two nephews, Todd Hines and Larry Ard and two nieces, Norma Jean Ball and Carolyn Keeton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Marvin Ard, one sister, Lucille Ard and one nephew, Gary Ard. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse and Bro. Damon Jones officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
