Charles Lee "Mutt" Godbey

Charles Lee "Mutt" Godbey, 81, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on August 31, 1935, son of the late Troy and Elois Wiles Godbey. He was a brick layer and attended Eden Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuck" & (Donna) Godbey and Donald & (Tammy) Godbey, both of Science Hill, three daughters, Lois & (William) Harris of Somerset, Lynn & (Paul) Adkins of Winfield, TN and Haley Godbey of Somerset, special companion, Sheila Nicholas of Somerset, four brothers, William & (Janet) Godbey of Frankfort, IN, James Godbey of the Beech Grove community, Phillip & (Darlene) Godbey and Emory Godbey, both of Science Hill, two sisters, Darlene & (Steve) Haste and Geraldine & (Don) Jones, both of Science Hill, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Timothy Wade "Hank" Godbey. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shaw and Bro. T.J. Godbey officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
