Ellen N. Pilcher

Ellen N. Pilcher, 82, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Cannon, Kentucky on February 1, 1934, daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn. She was owner of Pilcher Grocery and attended Family Worship Center in Waynesburg. She is survived by four sons, Larry Pilcher & (Beverly) of Nancy, Morris Pilcher & (Leah) of Stanford, Tim Pilcher of Waynesburg and Mark Pilcher & (Lisa) of Somerset, one daughter, Barbara Thies & (Bill) of Lexington, eight grandchildren, Nicole Roberts, Christopher Pilcher, Daniel Pilcher, Jamie Bratcher, Jenny Schuler, Amanda Thies, Courtney Thies and Aaron Thies, nine great-grandchildren and three sisters, Phyllis, Zella and Sue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest S. Pilcher, her parents, two brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Family Worship Center in Waynesburg with Bro. David Gambrel and Bro. Steve Gates officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the Family Worship Center. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
