Hazel C. Pennington

Hazel C. Pennington, 88, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on October 24, 1927, daughter of the late Lawrence and Betty Cochran. She was a homemaker and a member of Eubank Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, Donald Pennington of Eubank, Darrell & (Diane) Pennington of Hendersonville, NC and David Pennington of London, KY, four brothers, Marshall Cochran, Dwayne Cochran, Gile Cochran and Travis Cochran, two sisters, Nannette Carman and Wraylene Wilson, three grandchildren, Christina Whitaker, James Pennington and Brian Pennington and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Whitaker and Isabella Pennington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Pennington, her parents, one brother, Hansel Cochran and one sister, Jeanette Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church in Liberty, KY with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 10:30 Thursday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
