Ida M. Burdine

Ida M. Burdine, daughter of the late Charlie and Pearlly Wilson Lyons, was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 16, 1941 and departed this life on April 16, 2006 at the age of 64 years. She was a cook and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Von V. Burdine of Somerset, four sons, David W. Lyons and Stoney L. & (Robin) Cook both of Somerset, Gary L. Cook of Monticello and Billy E. & (Margaret) Cook of Russell Springs, three daughters, Tina & (Kevin) Caldwell of Oklahoma, Sandy & (Bob) Vaughn of Strunk, Kentucky and Bonnie & (Rob) Rankin of Nicholasville, two brothers, Robert W. Lyons of California and Richard Lyons of Monticello, two sisters, Mary Ann George and Kay Thomas both of Somerset, eight grandchildren, Amanda, Tracey, Jared, Bethany, Aaron, Crystal, Jennifer and Joseph and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Delmar Lyons and four sisters, Thelma Eastham, Roberta Wilson, Lucy Dugger and Diane Martin. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxtell officiating. Burial will be in Acorn Cemetery. Visitation after 6 PM Tuesday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
