Darrel D. Spears

Darrel D. Spears, 75, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on December 7, 1940, son of the late Roy and Nina Dalton Spears. He was a retired assembly air mechanic for GE and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Irvine Spears of Bethelridge, one son, Gregory Todd Spears of Cincinnati, OH, four sisters, Faustine, Darlene, Judy and Linda and two grandchildren, Zachary Todd Whalen and Olivia Nicole Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael Darrin Spears, three brothers, Harold, Bob and Danny and one sister, Geraldine. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Robins officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
