John L. Keeney

John L. Keeney, 86, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was born in Ruth, Kentucky on April 8, 1930, son of the late Clifford and Ruth Jane Tomlison Keeney. He was an employee for Kroger, working as a butcher for 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Northside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Burnetta Ruth Wesley Keeney of Somerset, sister-in-law, Shirley Keeney of Somerset, niece, Tina & (Kenny) Beshears, nephew, Burce & (Charlotte) Keeney and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Russell Lee Keeney and one brother, Billy Joe Keeney. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse and Dr. Damon Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
