Juanita F. Burdine, 85, of Lakepoite Drive in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Britthaven Nursing Home. She was born in Acorn, Kentucky on January 27, 1924, daughter of the late David Colesen and Nancy Catherine Bullock Adams. She was a seamstress at Palm Beach. She was a devout Christian and member of Southside Church Of God Of Prophecy. She is survived by three sons, Lonnie Edsol & (Nancy) Burdine of Brownsburg, IN and Tophel Glen & (Connie) Burdine and Arvis Clinton Burdine, both of Somerset; three brothers, Ray Adams and Anthony Adams, both of Greensburg, IN and Billy Adams of Bardstown, KY; five sisters, Hazel Carlton of Lizton, IN, Thelma Burdine of Hastings, MN, Betty Adams of Greensburg, IN, Audry Newman of Lizton, IN and Faye Whitaker of Greensburg, IN; four grandchildren, Talmadge & (Mikki) Burdine, Timothy & (Carolyn) Burdine, Donavon & (Michelle) Burdine and Chad & (Jennie) Burdine; five great-grandchildren and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Lee Burdine, whom she married on February 6, 1939 and who died on January 1, 1990; her parents; one son, Orville Archie Burdine; two brothers, Orville Adams and James Adams and one grandson, Tony Lee Burdine. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 17, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Tranthem and Bro. Roger Dykes officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
