Sally H. Smith, 74, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Hindman, Kentucky on May 12, 1942, daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Fugate Hays. She was a banker for the Bank of Hindman and was owner of Custom Monogram & Embroidery. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church.
Sally is survived by one daughter, Libby & (Clay) Parks, two sons, Charlie & (Millie) Clark and Rick Clark, two brothers, John & (Carol) Hays and Gene Hays & (Camie Turner), two sisters, Eloise Ingram and Susie & (Scott) Stone, eight grandchildren, Lindsay & (Terry) Estep, Alana & (KJ) Leavell, Jessica & (Brandon) Wireman, Katie Flynn, Lexie Parks & (Evan Warrick), Brandon & (Billie Jean) Clark, Corey Clark and Sean Clark, seven great-grandchildren, Addyson Estep, Aubrey Wireman, Braydon Wireman, Copely Leavell, Kaylee Goff, Tristian Clark and Caden Clark, sister-in-law, Freida Hays, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurl Smith, whom she married on August 11, 1967 and who died on August 20, 2008, her parents, Sam and Elizabeth Hays, one brother, Charles Hays, grandson-in-law, Mason Flynn, three great-grandchildren, Colson, Nathan and Isaiah Estep and brother-in-law, Walt Ingram.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Woodstock Baptist Church with Bro. Donavon Burton and Bro. Larry Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 9 AM Saturday at Woodstock Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kentucky State Police Shop with a Trooper.
