George Brad Elder

George Brad Elder, 85, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Woodstock, Kentucky on April 7, 1931, son of the late Oscar and Ophia Reynolds Elder. He was retired from the automotive industry and was a member of Elrod Church of God. He is survived by two sons, Gary Elder of Science Hill and Rickie & (Brenda) Elder of Nancy, two sisters, Jalia Hay of Midland, OH and Maredith Ard of Science Hill, six grandchildren, Marissa & (Curtis) Keith, Brannon Elder, Gavin Elder, Zoey Elder, Sierra Elder and Shelby & (Emily) Tarter and three great-grandchildren, Coda, Noah and Callie. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry Wayne Dick, one daughter, Gladys Marie Elder and two sisters, Mary Catherine Elder and Liza Jane Elder. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Clifford Mize officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
