Charlie Madison "Pud" Gaddis, son of the late William Sara Jane Wesley Gaddis, was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on March 14, 1907 and departed this life on April 26, 2006 at the age of 99 years.
He was a retired auto mechanic and a member of West Science Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Gilbert & (Janet) Gaddis of New Franklin, Missouri, Winsferd Gaddis of Casey County and David & (Glenda) Gaddis of Science Hill, a daughter, Geraldine & (Jim) Warren of Science Hill, a brother, Don Gaddis of Cincinnati, Ohio, four sisters, Merle & (Quinton) Bryant of South Lebanon, Ohio, Mildred Elliott of Cincinnati, Ohio, Minnie & (Jessie) Wesley and Mathel & (Smith) Jenkins both of Somerset, twelve grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great- grandchildren and special friends, Ralph and Carolyn Denton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Hazel Dean Haggard Gaddis, who died on May 21, 1996, his parents, six brothers, Roy, Ransom, Luther, Ralph, Robert and Roscoe Gaddis, a sister, Frannie Allen, a daughter-in-law, Windola Gaddis, a grandson, William Charlie Gaddis, a great-great-granddaughter, Brianna Nicole Davis and a great-great-grandson, Cody Turpin.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Meece and Bro. Lloyd Sewell officiating.
Burial will be in West Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday.
