James Ellis "Jim" Hoseclaw, son of the late James R. and Maggie Green Hoseclaw, was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on August 10, 1919 and departed this life on May 2, 2006 at the age of 86 years.
He was a retired mechanic and electrician for White Trucks in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Padgett Hoseclaw of Waynesburg, four sons, Charles Hoseclaw of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bob & (Linda) Hoseclaw of Franklin, Indiana, Michael & (Linda) Hoseclaw of Cape Cod, Florida and Thomas & (Sheri) Hoseclaw of Camby, Indiana, a daughter, Loraine Powell of Mt. Comfort, Indiana, a brother, Orville Hoseclaw of Bowling Green, Ohio, four sisters, Frances Coe of California, Hester Hardwick of Waynesburg, Mary Mason of Nicholasville and Veda Padgett of Stanford, twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Adeline Sue Derryberry.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Jacobs Hill Cemetery with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Jacobs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation from 12 - 2 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
