Gerald Elmer Acey

Gerald Elmer Acey, 52, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 16, 1964, son of Harold and Mathel Godbey Acey. He was a screen printer for Dove Industries and a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Mathel Acey of Science Hill, just like a brother, Roger & (Penny) Acey of Science Hill, one nephew, Ricky & (Amber) Shepherd and two great-nephews, Kolton and Syrus. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sheila Shepherd. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 18, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Bowling and Bro. Lester Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Shady Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
