Mattie Margaret "Granny" Vaught, daughter of the late George Perkins and Priscilla Barber Allen, was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 8, 1910 and departed this life on May 29, 2006 at the age of 95 years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Glenda "Tiny" & (Charlie) Tilley of Somerset, a sister, Monta Eldridge of New Lebanon, Ohio, nine grandchildren, Rick & (Tammy) Tilley, Tim Tilley, Robert Tilley & (Abbie Stephens) Mike Tilley, Tammy & (Mike) Miller, Myrna & (Johnnie) Bishop, Jackie Todd & (Betty), Mike & (Susie) Todd and Frankie & (Paula) Todd, thirteen great-grandchildren, Adam, Mackenzie & Arron Tilley, Nicholas Dalton, Heather Floyd, Marcie & (Ty) Courtwright, Dave & (Robin) Bishop, Missy & (Rick) Ware, Michael & (Shelly) Todd, Kortney, Nikki, Angela & Douglas Todd, three step-great-grandchildren, Keshia, Brittany & Jeremy and eight great-great-grandchildren, Audrey Nicole & Brooklyn Gabrielle Dalton, Whitney & Dakota Cassada, Jon David Bishop, Ryan Ware and Kayla & Kara Todd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Stephen Vaught, who died on February 19, 1976, her parents, a son, Victor Vaught, a daughter, Helen Todd, two children, Lawrence Lee Vaught and Opal Louise Vaught, who both died in infancy, three brothers, Sammie, Kineth and John Allen, three sisters, Helen New, Cloda Adams and Lelia Ware and a son-in-law, Charles Todd. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation after 12 Noon on Thursday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
