Lorene Head

Lorene Head, 75, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Ocala, Kentucky on June 3, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Martha Susan Lee Prows. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Barry & (Pat) Head of Somerset, two daughters, Kimberly Kathryn & (Jeff) Goodin of Somerset and Lois & (Randy) Mathis of Eubank, one sister, Christine Wilburn of Somerset, four grandchildren, Darion & (Rachael) Ping, Dionne Mathis & (Zack) Banks, Jeremy Goodin and Kristina Goodin and two great-grandchildren, Joseph Ping and Dexter Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E. "Bill" Head, whom she married on December 19, 1949 and who died on October 28, 1997, her parents, four brothers, Lucian, Clarence, Robert and Lindsey Prows and six sisters, Bonnie Diamond, Daisy Hargis, Merdell Burnett, Dorothy Martin, Louetta Head and Cathern Jones. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin and Bro. David Tomilson officiating. Burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
