Mary Lynn Hendricks

Mary Lynn Hendricks, daughter of the late Center Copland and Susie Elmina Wagner Linkes, was born in Butler, Tennessee on December 16, 1911 and departed this life on June 13, 2006 at the age of 94 years. She was a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and Eastern Kentucky University with a B. A. in Education. She taught school for over 43 years from the Science Hill Elementary School system before her retirement. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Northside Baptist Church. She is survived by a granddaughter, Stephanie Hendricks & (Jeremy) Branham of Richmond, Kentucky, a daughter-in-law, Brenda Hendricks of Ewing, Virginia, a sister-in-law, Alma Linkes of Science Hill and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wilson Hendricks, who died on September 3, 1979, her parents and a son, Steve Hendricks who died in 1983. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Friday, June 16, 2006 at Science Hill Cemetery with Bro. Bob Hoots officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 PM Friday at the cemetery. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
