Sylvia Irene Hines

Sylvia Irene Hines, 64, of Shannon Drive in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 3, 1945, daughter of the late Manford and Lela Green Chaney Hayes. She was a homemaker and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and faithful servant of God. She is survived by one son, Johnnie R. Hines of Stanford, two daughters, Donna C. Harris of Waynesburg and Cheryl A. Middleton of Science Hill, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one special niece, Regina Moore of Waynesburg and a special nephew, Eddie Hicks of Eubank. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy Hayes and Delmar Hayes and one sister, Jean Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, December 18, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation for Sylvia Irene Hines will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
