Dollie Godbey

Dollie Godbey, daughter of the late James Wesley and Jenny Ellen Terry Overstreet, was born in Liberty, Kentucky on May 12, 1919 and departed this life on June 21, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 87 years. She was a homemaker and attended the Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Wayne & (Carolyn) Godbey of Prospect, Kentucky and Brent Alan & (Sherrie) Godbey of Georgetown, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Allison Leigh & (Michael) Crupi, Matthew Wayne & (Jenn) Godbey, Jennifer Ellen & (Doyle) Jackson, Brenna Godbey & (Mark) Cantrell and Benjamin Thomas & (Beth) Godbey and five great-grandchildren, Doyle Aaron Jackson, Peter Alan Jackson, Ellen Margaret Cantrell, Samuel Wood Cantrell and Nathan Blake Crupi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Godbey, whom she married on October 27, 1945 and who died on October 23, 1988, her parents, brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Bethelridge Methodist Church with Rev. Doyle Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
