Vascoe Vaughn Wesley

Vascoe Vaughn Wesley, 78, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Ansel, Kentucky on May 7, 1931, son of the late Miles “Bert” and Ethel Sneed Wesley. He retired from Hinkle Stone Company in 1993. He was of the Methodist faith and attended Bethelridge United Methodist Church. Vascoe loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lillian F. Wesley, whom he married on April 15, 1954 in Middleburg, KY, four children, Brenda & (Blue) Wiles of Science Hill, James Wesley of Reading, OH, Darrell & (Tammy) Wesley of Somerset and Barbara & (Tommy) Wilson of Science Hill, nine grandchildren, Dana Wiles Mitchell, Tonya Wiles, Brad & (Jane) Wiles, Jason & (Gabrielle) Wesley, Lisa Wesley, Christy Wesley, Lance Wesley, Tyler & (Megan) Wilson and Dustin Wilson, six great-grandchildren, Chelsey & Brayden Mitchell, Holly Wiles, Jason Wesley II, Madison Wesley, Briley Wilson and four step great-grandchildren, Nick, Tyler & Ashlynn Tittles and Rachel Carter along with a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Noah, William and Zora Wesley, seven sisters, Lurcus, Thurma, Thelma, Edna, Doris, Taviora, and Mellie, one daughter-in-law, Brenda Wesley and three great-grandchildren, Latosha & Dillon Wiles and Maddox Wilson. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Gene Sweet and Bro. Doug Stutz officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
