Andrew Hibbard Meece

Andrew Hibbard Meece, son of the late Andrew Jackson and Martha Janie Hibbard Meece, was born in Hansford, Kentucky on June 12, 1922 and departed this life on July 1, 2006 at the age of 84 years. He retired in June of 1987 after 31 years from Crown Paper Box in Indianapolis, Indiana and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife of 56 1/2 years, Ruby Bullock Meece, whom he married on October 22, 1949, two daughters, Brenda & (Glenn) Sears of Louisville and Beverly Burdine of Science Hill, a son, Brent & (Phyllis) Meece of Somerset, three brothers, Ted & (Cartha) Meece of Indianapolis, Indiana, P.H. Meece of Acton, Indiana and Jess & (Mary) Meece of FLorida, five sisters, Lucy Murphy of Indianapolis, Indiana, Doris Bullock of Eubank, Shirley Katherine & (Gene) Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Julia & (Gene) Vanhook of Stanford and Jeanette & (James) Brummett of Brodhead, six grandchildren, Martha, Zach, Leslie, Lori, Cole and Anna, three great-grandchildren, Cody, Colby and Clayton and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Edna Payne. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Rader officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation after 6 PM Monday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
