William G. Anderson

August 31, 1918 — July 20, 2006

William G. "Bill" Anderson, son of the late Emmett and Clara DeBorde Anderson, was born in Walnut Grove, Kentucky on August 31, 1918 and departed this life on July 20, 2006 at the age of 87 years. He was a retired farmer and he also retired from Southern Belle Dairy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a member of Woodstock Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Emma Ward Anderson, whom he married on July 3, 1939, a daughter, Anita Anderson & (Marion) Hubble of Eubank, a sister, Helen Anderson & (James) Jones of Somerset and two grandchildren, Russell S. Hubble of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and David G. & (Krista Dent) Hubble of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edd Anderson and a sister, Edith Anderson Smith. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Rader officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday. The family request donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
