Delbert Ray Spears

Delbert Ray Spears, son of Ora Watson Spears of Bethelridge and the late Ira Spears, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 6, 1928 and departed this life on July 29, 2006 at the age of 77 years. He was a farmer and a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church. He is survived by his mother, wife, Martha M. Warren Spears of Science Hill, his children, Lonnie & (Levia) Spears of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Gerald & (Margaret) Spears of Science Hill, Jerry & (Sue) Spears of Coleraine, Ohio, Cathy S. & (Lynville) Hatter and Imogene S. & (Randy) Floyd both of Walltown, Kentucky, Roy & (Bonita) Spears of Somerset and Jeffrey & (Melissa) Spears of West Science Hill, eleven brothers and sisters, Homer Spears, Stanley Spears, Lewis Spears, Tom Spears, Willis Spears, Dale Spears, Freida Wesley,k Beulah Denham, Stella Walker, Norma Jean Taylor and Mary Lou Barnett, twenty-four grandchildren, five step grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one step grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Janes, Bro. Steve Glenn and Gene Sweet officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
