Carl Noel Compton

Carl Noel Compton, son of the late Minnie E. and Magola (Wilson) Compton, was born on Jan. 28, 1930 and departed this life on Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 at the age of 76 years. He was a contributing businessman to the community and for those in special need. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a member of the Seven Oaks Baptist Church of Somerset. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Lowe) Compton; two sons, Tony Compton and Scotty Compton; two daughters, Carla Compton and Joye &(her husband, Lee) Orr, all of Indiana; two step sons, Robert Mattie & Auturo &(his wife, Lori) Mattie, two step daughters, Melissa & (her husband, Kris) Gilbert and Antonia Barnett, all of Somerset; a brother, Lloyd & (his wife, Edna) Compton of Somerset; two sisters, Bertha & (her husband, Jack) Walker of Somerset; Beulah Powers of Florida, a brother -in- law, Clifford Tarter of Nancy, several loving grandchildren, great - grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rebecca Lee Compton; a son, Barry Jim Compton; a brother, Leonard Compton, two sisters, Madeline Tarter and Bernice Muller. Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Dawson, officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery, Nancy, KY. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
